Welcome to Edwards Colorado, Elevation 7,220 feet. Nestled in the Rocky Mountains and just miles from some of the greatest skiing, hiking, biking, and whitewater rafting areas in the world, recreation is everywhere in Edwards. In the heart of Edwards is the beautiful Freedom Park Recreation Complex. Located less than 1 mile off of 1-70, this facility has something for everyone in the family. This 30 acre parcel of land includes:(2) Baseball/Softball Fields, (4)multi-use athletic fields, Skatepark, Dog Park/Pond, Sand Volleyball Courts, and childrens playground. The Complex also features a Veterans and EMS Memorial that includes a piece of the Pentagon from 911.

If thats not enough, WECMRD is ringing in the New Year and introducing our newest addition. The WECMRD Field House at Edwards. The Facility is located at 0450 Miller Ranch Road in the beautiful Freedom Park Recreation Complex. Since opening day on December 11^th, 2009 the WECMRD Field House at Edwards has been a hit. Carrying on the WECMRD tradition of affordable recreation for all, the facility offers schools out day camps, box lacrosse, flag football, rock climbing, bouldering, gymnastics, volleyball, and basketball.

Adding a new twist to the WECMRD way, the Field House at Edwards offers laser tag, black light miniature golf, indoor soccer, arena softball, our own semi-pro soccer team. With all of these activities now conveniently located in Edwards, there is something for your family to do every day of the week…year round!

The floor plan includes a 5,000 square foot gymnastic area equipped with a foam pit and a trampoline, a 10,000 Square foot multi-purpose sport court, a 15,000 square foot turf field, kids play area, community room, laser tag/ miniature golf room, and a state of the art kids fit area. We at WECMRD value the importance of teaching youth fun ways to keep fit; and our Nintendo Wii systems and Human Dynamo bikes will surely entertain them.

Also, at our facility you can watch the only Semi-pro soccer team on the Western Slope. The Freedom FC (Football Club) plays in the Premier Arena Soccer League (PASL-Premier) The PASL league that was started in 1997. Now in its 12th year, PASL-Premier is the largest international indoor/arena soccer league in the world. PASL-Premier currently has 51 teams in 9 divisions across the USA. PASL-Premier is the official developmental league of the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL-Pro).

The Freedom FC play in the state of Colorado against: the Highlands Ranch Heat, Fort Collins Fury, Northern Colorado Cutthroats, Golden Strikers, Denver Dynamite, and the Denver Boom.
