The Freedom FC (Football Club) was established in the summer of 2009 by WECMRD. WECMRD is only the second Recreation District in the United States to own and operate a Semi-Professional Indoor Soccer Team. The team plays in the Premier Arena Soccer League (PASL-Premier). The PASL league was started in 1997 and now is in its 12th year. PASL-Premier is the largest international indoor/arena soccer league in the world. PASL-Premier currently has 51 teams in 9 divisions across the USA. PASL-Premier is the official developmental league of the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL-Pro). The Freedom FC play in the state of Colorado against: the Fort Collins Fury, Northern Colorado Cutthroats, Golden Strikers, and the Colorado Springs Blizzard.
